Method
 

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Crockpot
  2. Lightly spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Step 2: Add the Chicken
  4. Place the chicken breasts into the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Season with:
  6. garlic powder
  7. onion powder
  8. Italian seasoning
  9. salt
  10. black pepper
  11. Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce
  12. In a medium bowl, whisk together:
  13. cream of chicken soup
  14. sour cream
  15. chicken broth
  16. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
  17. Step 4: Prepare the Stuffing
  18. In another bowl, combine:
  19. stuffing mix
  20. melted butter
  21. chicken broth
  22. Mix gently until the stuffing is moistened.
  23. Step 5: Assemble
  24. Spread the stuffing mixture evenly over the creamy chicken layer.
  25. If using vegetables, add them before the stuffing layer.
  26. Step 6: Slow Cook
  27. Cover and cook:
  28. LOW for 6–7 hours

  30. HIGH for 3–4 hours
  31. The chicken should be fully cooked and tender.

Notes

For extra flavor, use herb-seasoned stuffing mix.
Chicken thighs can be substituted for juicier meat.
Add cheese during the last 20 minutes for a creamy cheesy version.
Rotisserie chicken may be used for a faster cooking option.
