Mini Strawberry Shortcake Trifles

Ingredients
  

  • Strawberries
  • pounds strawberries sliced
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Whipped Cream
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cake
  • 1 prepared pound cake or vanilla cake cubed

Method
 

  1. Slice strawberries and combine with sugar and lemon juice.
  2. Let stand 20–30 minutes.
  3. Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  4. Cut cake into bite-sized cubes.
  5. Add cake cubes to serving glasses.
  6. Add strawberries and juices.
  7. Add whipped cream.
  8. Repeat layers.
  9. Finish with whipped cream and garnish.
  10. Refrigerate until serving.
