Southern Fried Corn Recipe Card

Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups corn kernels
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional
  • ¼ cup whole milk

Method
 

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy.
  2. Remove bacon and reserve 2 tablespoons bacon grease.
  3. Sauté onion until softened.
  4. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in corn and cook 8–10 minutes.
  6. Add salt, pepper, paprika, and sugar.
  7. Stir in butter and milk.
  8. Simmer 5–7 minutes until creamy.
  9. Return bacon to skillet.
  10. Serve hot.
